About
About Clarity With AI
I'm Muhammad Faisal Gurmani, a Chartered Accountancy Finalist currently completing my articleship at Zahid Jameel & Co., a Prime Global member firm in Karachi. Before that, I worked as a Tax Audit Associate at the Sindh Revenue Board, which is where I first started noticing how much manual, repetitive work in accounting reconciliations, variance checks, tax working papers could be handled better with the right tools.
Clarity With AI grew out of that observation. I write about AI agents, automation, and practical AI workflows specifically for accountants, auditors, bookkeepers, and small finance teams not AI in general, and not for a general audience. If a tool or workflow doesn't hold up under an actual audit file or a real close process, I don't write about it.
My Background
Alongside my CA training and audit experience, I hold seven Intuit certifications covering both bookkeeping and tax: the Intuit Bookkeeping Certification, QuickBooks Certification Level 1 and Level 2, and the Intuit Academy Business Tax, Equity Compensation Tax, and Tax Exam Level 1 and Level 2 credentials. I went through these specifically to understand bookkeeping and small-business tax mechanics from the software side, not just the audit side most of the AI workflows I cover here have to interact with QuickBooks in some way, and I wanted firsthand fluency with it before writing about automating around it.
How I Test What I Write About
I don't publish a tool or workflow until I've run it against a real scenario first a real trial balance, a real reconciliation, a real month-end close. When something breaks, I say so in the article, including the specific point where it broke and what I had to do to fix it. You'll see this in pieces like the AI Agents for Small Accounting Firms series, where the numbers and edge cases come from actually running the process, not from summarizing what a vendor's landing page claims.
I don't take payment for positive coverage. If a tool underperforms for accounting work specifically, I write that plainly, even if it's well-regarded for other use cases.
Who This Is For
This site is written for people doing the actual work: CPAs, articled trainees, small accounting firm owners, controllers, and finance teams looking to automate part of their workload without losing control over accuracy or compliance. It's not a general "AI tools" blog, and I've deliberately kept it that way depth on one thing is more useful to this audience than breadth across everything AI touches.
